On Barrel: 32 Long CTG
Serial#: 359917
Made in: Springfield, Mass
Patented: Feb. 6, 06, Sept. 14, 09, Dec. 20, 14

This was handed down to my wife from her family, would guess it came from the '40s. Any help would be appreciated.

That gun is probably the .32 Hand Ejector, Third Model, but if it has a square wood butt and a notch in the rear grip, it is the .32 Regulation Police, which was numbered in the same series. They were made from 1911 to 1942, when production stopped due to the war. (Production resumed after the war and the gun was later called the Model 30.) Serial numbers ran from about 263000 to 534532; exact dates of manufacture are not available, but 321000 was made in 1920.
