Still pretty new to shooting rifles, and even newer at using something besides open sights, I've started to shop for an Aimpoint. This sight will probably become permanently attached to one of three rifles: a Colt 6920, a Beowulf or an HK USC. I just got an EOTech 512 that I've zeroed on the 6920, and I really like it - it may just stay there.
Looking at what Aimpoint has to offer is a bit confusing. While I like the EOTech, it's occurred to me that I might benefit from some magnification, thus I've started to think about their 9000SC 2X. But frankly I'm still pretty much in the dark. And that's one pricey sight, too.
In all likelihood, the HK, being a .45 and therefore a shorter range gun, will get a cheaper red dot or scope and the Aimpoint and the EOTech will be on the Beowulf and the 6920.
So, any ideas, things to consider, etc.?
