AK 20rnd mags?

You can fit two 20rd mags sideways with a little slop, not enough to be a problem. One mag will also fit in each of the LBV pouches. Since they are thicker they fit tighter, but in my opinion I can deal with less ammunition for the handiness of the 20 rd magazines. I carry on my belt a Tactical Tailor pouch with two 30 rounders, and 20 rounders in the vest pouches. They work for anything I'll be doing.

Tactical squirrel. Thankyou so much for that re-ply. I was begining to wonder if i was the only one one who liked the 20's.

Also, do you know what a fair price for them are?

I've seen the magazines as low as $7 apiece. Catch is you have to buy 100 of them! :D I remember they were being sold at around $10 each a year or two ago. Century supposedly had them at $12 I think and Tapco has them now at around the same. Being they're so limited in availability I'd pay up to about $15 for them in used, and I'd say $20 for absolutely beautiful new would be ok. It's kinda a preference as to how much you want to spend. They're a specialized item, and worth having a few. I bought 8 from Tapco with their $49 mag pouch deal (2 sets), and was happy, and I'm considering 4 more ina pouch for the hell of it. They're just very handy.
Intune, you don't know just how nice they are to have! :D I'm doing some law enforcement testing applications with a AK-104 I had a Saiga done into, and the 20's also help get rid of the evil AK profile slightly and fit in as any other black rifle better. Small reason, but still is effective. As they are slightly shorter they don't snag on as much and are easier to maneuver with as well. Just don't have that extra 10 rounds that adds up when it comes to carrying magazines.

my main reasons for liking the 20's are ease of shooting in prone position and a 20rnd box of ammo fits perfectly.

I have to get some. I find myself loading the 10 most often when I want to shoot it like a "real" rifle. The 30's&40's really do get in the way. Prone with a 40? Might as well get a pintle mount & sit behind it!
