AK folding stock and mag questions

Ok, just getting familiar with my WASR and wanted some opinions. It has a tapco folding stock, but unfortunately it is the older design without a sling mounting point. Can anyone give me any input as to how I could possibly mount a 1 or 2 point sling without changing the stock? All I can think to do is break out the drill.

Also just got some bulgarian surplus mags new and sealed in oil. Should I break them down fully to clean?

Can't comment on the sling, but definitely take those mags apart and clean thoroughly.

They make a short one and a long one. Basically you loop it through itself in a convenient position on the gun and pull it tight, and presto, instant sling mount. I use a long one as a forward sling mount on my AR.

Loop the rear around the wrist of the stock and snap on to the front sling mount.

You just have to take the pistol grip off, slide the plate between it and the bottom of the receiver, replace the pistol grip and now you have a 1 point sling mount. Very simple and it works well from what I hear.

May I ask why you don't want to change out the stock? I have had nothing but trouble with the Tapco folders. Their durability does not do the gun justice. The American made plastic folders I have played with really leave something to be desired in my experience even though one of my AK's currently wears one.
