Hi pals,
I wonder what happen to G3 AK, great reviews from start and suddenly disappear from their web site. I did call them and the operator had no idea when will be in stock again.
I know I am late to the equation for good ones cheap.
There is some left over from tax season that I would like to use.
At the local shows I saw some Century in various models, which I tried to stay away from that source around $600 or so and a Saiga 7.62x39 form $1200 but out of reach.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Thank you, badkarmamib that is one of the reasons I want the G3 forged bolt on prior models and century ones.

Just a heads up the G3 forged series has had some reports of issues recently. Some cracking near the right front side of the receiver. I have one that is still low round count so I haven't seen anything first hand but on youtube a recognized reviewer has documented the issue in one of his videos.

According to my sales rep, they are waiting for a new wood supplier. The maple stock sets they were using were somewhat soft, often showing up with light dings from shipping, causing far too many warranty claims. They will be back when new wood comes in. Seems Americans want repurposed pallets and plywood on their AK's, instead of furniture grade maple....

They seem to show up sporadically and sell out fast.

I have a local store and they had an FDE version in stock, but I am set on getting black furniture. Last time I got in "In stock" notification from the site they were sold out within 4 hours (when I saw the email).

My advice would be to just sign up for the notifications and keep an eye on the site.

Waiting for me is not an issue. I paid some attention to the evolution of the forged series which is another key to have a good rifle, sadly Century keep ruining the solid receivers idea.
I understand many can say it is not needed, just for me a good receiver is the way to go.
Russian army developers did fix the issue receiver's after many years of search for the right stamp and abandon the solid bill idea just for economic issues.

I signed up on those, I might like to have.
On the other hand today I got an email from Atlantic for the new (IDK) Poland AK but again $1000 +/- unless it was assembled by the comrade Lenin himself is too much for this soul.
Sadly because after visiting Poland (2018) and several of its military museums kind like I like their history.
