About a year ago I replaced the trigger in my M4gery with the ALG ACT. I was extremely happy with it. So, when I decided to build another AR, I purchased a PSA LPK that included the Magpul MOE grip and the ACT trigger.

My original ACT only came with one hammer spring. The new ACT came with two, one purple with ~4lb pull weight and one tan with ~6lb weight. The included instructions said that with the lighter spring and hard mil primers, you might experience light pin strikes. I put the tan in, thinking that an extra 2lbs of trigger pull was well worth it for reliability.

Have any of you used the lighter spring? If so, what have your results been so far?

I have AR's with CMC triggers that include a lightened 4# hammer and springs, would not want it in a combat weapon but mine have never failed to fire with reloads or GI ammo. To me light is not the answer as i would rather have 6# of pull as long as it was smooth and broke clean which the ALG ACT is quite capable of doing.
