ALG QMS vs. ACT AR trigger and lower

Not playing guessing games? Your assertion that the QMS/ACT will not last as long as an SSA is nothing but a guess.

The above information is information about the triggers, factual information at that, and it is relevant to the thread, as well as your post, whether you like it or not.

I'll try not to fly this one over your head. My point was that instead of a ?? you could have just posted the information.

I find some of these comments a bit strange. The ALG ACT trigger is simply an improved military trigger. It will last just as long as a regular trigger, but it's a better trigger. It isn't exactly like stock triggers are currently wearing out on a regular basis, so I see no reason to think this one would either.

Check out this video.

It's kind of long, but it's Bill Geissele himself talking about all of his triggers (including the ALG triggers). He owns ALG (through his wife), and those triggers are his, too.

I wouldn't expect a match trigger from the ACT, but a better-than-stock trigger that is as safe and reliable as the military style trigger. I think Geissele describes it as an "okay" trigger, sold for around $65 instead of $265+. I'm going to put it in my current build because it will be a perfectly decent trigger for that application. If I was building an AR-15 for precision long range shooting, I'd probably choose a different trigger.

First, the standard AR trigger is not mil-spec. Mil-spec is either 3 burst or full auto capable

Second, ALG does more than just polish a standard AR trigger. If they did, they would cut threw the thin case hardening to the softer material underneath and the triggers would soon be doubling a tripling. ALG also case hardens the parts deeper than normal.

Three, do not send a standard AR trigger to Bill Springer. Thin case hardening, remember?

Four, my biggest question- those who have crisp ALGs, what do you consider crisp? All standard AR triggers have creep. It's a safety feature to prevent sear bounce

Well watch the video and tell Bill Geissele all this.

I have 3 of the ALG ACT triggers and for $65 they are a good alternative to the gritty stock trigger. It's simply a refined high reliability combat trigger, not a tuned light competition trigger.

The QMS and ACT are especially good for police or military units that want good triggers but cannot deviate from the stock trigger geometry due to regulations.
