Realized yesterday that two Bianchi speedstrips (.38/.357) fit PERFECTLY into an empty Altoid mint box (metal), noses toward the middle for both strips.

Might be how I keep them straight in my pocket from now on. And they don't look very "menacing" if I have to empty my pocket for some reason.

True..........and that happened to me at an airport. TSA guy asked for a mint when I pulled it out. I suspect he was checking to see if it was drug related.

"may I have an Altoid?"

"No, these are my Altoids. There are many like them, but these ones are mine.":)

I like the Idea, but now I have to run out and buy some altoids so I can try it.

I've been there and tried that. The problem your going to find is that a revolver is difficult to say the least to reload under stress even with speed strips. Now think how hard it would be to dig in your pocket and try to find that altoids box. Now that you have it in you hands, you have to open the box, pull out a speed strip without dropping the other speed strips in the can onto the ground. Then you have to close it and stow it away and then reload the revolver you've been holding in your non-firing hand the whole time while the stress level is causing your fine motor skills to take the rest of the day off and let you figure it out of your own. PITA!

Flip.

You're right......

Which is why my next purchase will be a Compact M&P or a Walther PPS.

Anyone want to contribute to my "next gun fund" ?

)

A spare speed strip also fits well inside the watch pocket of a pair of Levis.

Altoid boxes can be made into an emergency cookstove with a little modification, some cotton and alcohol. One can warm up a cup of coffee, soup, or just use it for emergency heat.
I store my flies for flyfishing in them.
Great and useful little cans.

Oh god... I'm almost scared of my own post...

15 dice also fit in a altoid box perfectly, like they were designed to hold them... so all of you dice chucking role playing guys can have your speed strips and your 15 six siders... :)
