Is there any repituable and economical place to send off parts to get Park?
Id ask at your local shop or smith. They may do it, or know who does. Parkerizing is usually pretty reasonable, and you dont have to worry about disassembly/reassembly problems with the mags.

Its really not had to do yourself if your looking for something to do. We used to do it in my buddys garage, and did all sorts of stuff too, little parts to full guns, and all sorts of other things. You can buy the solutions from Brownells, and for something like the mags, a SS pot that would hold them would be all you need. A thermometer is probably best too. Bead blasting is best, but you can also just sand or strip the finish.

Just dont do it on the old ladys stove, especially since youre now retired and you'd have to hear it all day long. :D

Ive painted all sorts of stuff with AH II. I even did the frame on my back up road bike, and after about 8 years now, it still looks great. Its got your normal stone dings and such, but other than that, its good. Its good stuff, but like anything, its got its limits.
