Amazing Damascus Knife Maker

This guy has a lot of videos showing him making some really beautiful Damascus.

I've been watching his videos for years--but I wonder if we will be seeing any more of them. He's located in Sumy, Ukraine, on the border of Russia.



This video shows him making what he calls an "Elven Flower" pattern blade.

Beautiful blade. I wish they showed the finished knife. His control and smooth operation make him far more efficient than most of what we see on forged in fire… but most of those guys are good amateurs whereas this guy is a pro so it kinda makes sense.

That and Forged in Fire deliberately sets inhuman time constraints. He is just showing little bits of it here-the time it takes to reheat and and reset the blocks for another go-around adds up.

He only makes blades--no finished knives. Unfortunately, as far as I can tell he also only sells the blades in the Ukraine.

That and Forged in Fire deliberately sets inhuman time constraints.

Yup. A big part of the show is pushing them to their limits so they are well out of their comfort zone.
