Bought this kit from CFS a few years ago when they first came into the country. Kit was near mint and of course matching. I sent the wood to z_recto for refinish. As you can see he did a fantastic job. Chris at AK-USA ( www.ak-103.com ) said it was the nicest kit he had ever seen. It's built on a fully heat treated OOW receiver. Chris did his usual surperb job on the build. The finish is an enamel coating that holds up very well and gives the look of the original finish. Enjoy the pics of a AK you don't see very often.

Nice looking rifle. The AMD's are pretty cool. I like the 65's as well. They look mean with the gas tube uncovered. I'm curious, does the vertical foregrip detach at all?.

I just picked up a 103 from Chris a couple of months ago and am very happy with it.

I finally detached (unscrewed the thru bolt) the foregrip after whittling it back so much it was a toothpick. Seems you can't 'speedload' by knocking the empty 30 round mag out reliably with the AMD 63 fore grip, cool looking though it is.....
