Discovery Channel's American Chopper seems to cater to the "Theme Bikes"....everything from lawnmowers to tools. Wonder what one would look like with a firearm theme?

Hummm, let's see.....Ma Duce barrels for the forks, Handle bars with Luger grips, dual exhaust resembling an over-under shotgun. Any ideas for the tank and wheels?

Mag wheels resembling 60 round Thompson drums, 5 gal fatbob tanks in red, white and blue with the BOR painted on each side.
Biker

Mag wheels resembling the front face of a revolver cylinder.

Gas tank = cartridge and bullet.

Pipes are like an O/U shotgun complete with vent rib and bead.

Grips are pistol grips with blinker in each trigger.

I could go on for hours.

I know Springfield Armory contacted them about a theme bike. But the wait was something like 2 years.:what: They passed.

LOL, funny you should mention them. I just wrote up an order for them today :D
Excelent - I hope you post photos once you've got them on.

Ok. So this means you won't post the pictures?

Didn't notice your location earlier.

You know where Orange County is located! Do you think they would permit something with a gun message?

yes I do.

It's in NewYork, not the socialist republic of California. No, I bet the media company filming would quash, not the Teutle fellows. It would be a good one for the OLN network though, they gun on that channel constantly.

Well as soon as I was able keep my breakfast down I reconsidered. Maybe those guys are a perfect fit for the gun industry. Let's see, they take parts from everone else, put them together with minimal skill, act like they are building the Sistine Chapel in the process, turn out something that is glitzy with their image all over it, then the first time they take it for a spin they realize they forgot to put oil in it. Buncha no talent hacks, the only reason they are popular is too few people have seen real mechanics and craftsmen at work. About as rare as real gunsmiths...

Is it me or is anyone else tired of the theme bikes? I mean it was cool the first 10 times, but after that...blah blah blah. I'm by no means a motorcycle afficionado but I'm preferring Biker Build Off. The antics of Paul Sr. were funny at the beginning but now it's just ho-hum, there he goes again. Anyone else feel the same?

Choppers bore me with theme or without

Don't get me wrong I like motorcycles a lot, I like American motorcycles too but what I really, really like are American bikes that will go around corners at ridiculous lean angles and keep up with most of the crotchrockets and still be reasonably comfy. My Buell does not bore me. The Tuetuls bikes are boring even with all the gee gaws and doo dads because they don't go.

Remember that episode of Monster Garage where Jesse James gets to shoot a minigun? Well, it's already got a motor on it. Just add a couple wheels...

They have already produced over priced, poorly made bikes with military themes using 50 cal shells as missles.

But don't mix NY city with the rest of the state. Most all of rural NY is very gun friendly, hunts and shoots.
I have many friends on Long Island that I hunt with all the time.
Unfortunatly the cities population controls the voting results just like PA.

Dressing up your bike with gun grips is tacky to say the least.

Beside bar hopping chopper owners are not bikers. They are posers who have no real desire to ride but just show off what they built which is fine, but they are not true bikers.

I've rode for 40 years, never saw a chopper out on the highway in the middle of no where with packed gear strapped on.

Those rides on the build shows are staged with a full support crew including trailers for the bikes if the weather gets bad or if they have mechanical problems.

Having tatoos and owning a chopper does not make one a biker just as owning a gun does not make one a shooter or a hunter.
