Hey guys. Been lurking for a bit but not posting.

Right now I'm using a Hornady GS-1500 scale without any *major* issues. The scale is accurate once it settles (verified weighing between it and my beam scale), but it can be a big PITA to use. It constantly auto shuts off and the amount of time it takes to settle isn't very consistent, having to Tare a lot and recheck powder measurements.

So I was shopping around for some affordable, but accurate, scales that use AC power rather than batteries to try to get around the whole auto shut off nonsense and came across this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AWS-ZEO-50-...573?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item233cc34d15

For the features and accuracy it boasts, it looks like a near unbeatable scale for the money. My question is...does anyone have experience with this brand or maybe this scale in particular? Is it accurate and worth it as a bench scale? I will still keep the Hornady scale as a pocket option, but for my bench I want something that will work and not waste time with its constant automatically shutting off bullplop! :mad:

Anyways, any feedback would be sincerely and greatly appreciated! :D

...having to Tare a lot...

This is not unusual. It returns the scale to zero before you take your next measurement. The label on my Tare button is worn out.

The auto cut off is a pain. I like scales that run off 110v. They tend to not shut down or their auto shut down time is quite long. battery only powered scales tend to auto shut off quickly to save batteries.

Here is a good thread discussing scales and their capabilities.

I prefer my;

MyWeigh Gempro 250

http://myweigh.com/product/gempro-series/

cost a little more, comes with a lifetime warranty. You need to understand because it is a sensitive scale it needs to warm up before use but is very accurate for powder weighing.

GEMPRO-250

Grains

771.72 gn max

0.02 gn accuracy

Lefty:D

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it! The GemPro seems like the safe bet. The American Weigh just seemed like an unbeatable deal, but you know what they say about things that seem too good to be true and whatnot...
