I discovered that I can carry a magazine in my rear pockets and it won't interfere with sitting as long as the magazine is held to the outward side of the pocket.

I saw this Ammo Armor brand magazine case and thought that I could glue it to a piece of leather to keep the magazine case held upright and to the side in my pocket. The rough side of the leather goes towards the outside of the pocket to create more friction to help keep the magazine holder in my pocket when drawing a magazine.

The first problem is that the case is made from low density polyethylene, which will require a special type of glue. It didn't mention in the ad what the case was made from.

The next problem is that this magazine case doesn't appear to actually be made for a P365X or XL 12 rd magazine. Note how the rear of the magazine floorplate is dropping below the rear of the magazine carrier. It makes it very difficult to draw the magazine from the case. But it's not a huge problem as I need to cut notches in the thin sides of the carrier as I will be drawing it by grasping the front and rear edges of the magazine floorplate. I'll just trim off the excess plastic in the rear. There are also ridges molded onto the inside of the magazine that I can sand down a little bit to make it easier to draw the magazine.

Nothing to write home about and probably worth what I paid for them. But they should be sufficient to test out rear pocket carry for the magazines. I may eventually make a magazine case out of leather for my rear pocket.

These are $9.95 + $2.50 shipping. But note that if you order two the shipping rate goes up to $6.50! Better to order these individually.

One would typically run their index finger down the front of the mag pouch, and the inside of your thumb knuckle and palm of your hand would contact with the mag base pad (note the cut outs on the sides of the pouch at the top) and pull the mag out that way.

What I can see these mag cases being good for is storing loaded magazines to protect them from being bounced around in a tool box or a bag. But not for drawing from. Until I find a polyethylene glue that I can trust, I'm tossing these in the spare parts bin.

I've got some leather and I'll make a magazine pouch that offsets the magazine towards the outside of the pocket. If the magazine went straight down the middle of my rear pocket it would interfere with me sitting down.
