Ammo differences???

With good premium ammo all of those rounds have comparable stopping power.

The one that's placed well. For discussion beyond that, try the search function.

You see, I have a g21, but want either compact or sub compact for conceal carry. Cant seem to find a conceal holster small enough for it. I would like to keep the .45acp.. What do you think of the .357sig?

.50AE.

That said, the best protection will come from a combination of weapon, holster, and practice that allows you to quickly present and get a shot on target.

There's not enough difference in effectiveness between any of the service calibres to make a difference. Since you already have a G21, Glock makes a couple of smaller .45 ACPs--the G30 and the G36 (which is as small as any Glock). Just remember, as you go down in size, "shootability" decreases and practice becomes more important--a couple of important factors to consider.

You forgot to include the .45 GAP. It offers the same performance as the .45 ACP in more user friendly size/weight pistols with higher capacity. Our local Sheriff's department is looking at the G37 to replace their G21s and I expect they will.

Krag, you state, "with higher capacity." What are the capacities of the two weapons you are comparing: the G21 (.45 ACP) and the G37 (.45 GAP)?

.22 LR - you think poachers want to track their quarry?

Seriously though, I wouldn't want to be shot with any of them and if I had my choices I would probably go with a .45 because that is what I have and I like it.
