I'm looking for an affordable ankle holster for a Kel-Tec P3-AT. .380
New job requires I wear dress pants with a shirt and tie. So I guess I'll have to go to the ankle for CCW. :barf:
Thanks,

'Scuse me for getting personal, but if you can't make a hip- pocket holster work with a P3AT, you're wearing your pants way too tight... 8^)

HUH??? :scrutiny:
Even the Kel-tec feels weighty in the pocket of dress pants. I'm not in a dangerouse area or anything so I can live with the inconvenience of an ankle holster.

Until now it has been fine in the back pocket of jeens.

I use a Galco Glove Ankle Holster for my Glock 27 and absolutely love it!! Wear it everyday with slacks and no one knows!

My solution to concealment in clothing where you really can't was to attach a belt clip to my P3 and carry it IWB, with the clip behind my belt buckle.

All I did was get a regular old belt clip and drill two holes through it. Then I drilled two very shallow holes in the polymer of the P3 and carefully tapped them, and attached it with two 3/16" long #1-72 TPI stainless screws. Has held up so far.

I really like my Fobus ankle holster for my P-3AT. Of course, that is above a boot and covered by uniform pants. Otherwise, the P-3AT absolutely disappears in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.

I'm also interested in this.
I went to the Uncle Mike's web site and found nothing using their holster wizzard. However, I found, by chance, an IWB holster for my AT at Sportsman's Warehouse. The important information here is the size. Size 10 fits the AT. With this, I went back to the offending web site (it is soooooo lame) and found a size 10 ankle holster for right around $40!!! Pricy, even for Michael's of Oregon!! They have listed two model numbers for left or right hand holsters. The left is #88102, the right, #88101. Wholesale Hunter has them for $32, but by the time you have it shipped, it probably will be within a couple of bucks of the list price anyway!! :banghead:

I have tried multiple ones but liked this one the best. It's not cheap but it's excellent quality. Made in good ol' US of A, Phoenix. AZ. :) I have carried a Guardian 380. a Bersa Thunder and now a P3 AT in the same holster and they all seem to fit in just perfectly.

Unless you've worn a ankle holster before, see if you can try one before buying one. They drive me NUTS! I regularly carry a P3AT in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster AND no one has ever "made me". That includes greeting a couple hundred people (church as a pastor) AND courthouse security (as an LEO). They DON"T show especially if you wear pleated pants. On the other hand, I've seen A LOT of ankle holsters print (do you have a tumor?) or be exposed when someone sat down or crossed their legs not thinking. Just my .02 but I think FRONT pocket carry is better. People are USED to seeing things in your pocket NOT on your leg.

HTH,
Mike
