Ann Coulter on the war in Iraq...

DRC...well said

And you illuminate my point quite well

Most all the Dems voted for the War with Iraq

Where were the calls for a plan????

Where is there alternative...

All this talk of plans is just their way of justifying their flip-flop and based on their irrational fear of GWB 's popularity when we are succesful.

If we are allowed to succeed, that is;)

They painted themselves in the corner.

Most of them voted for the war resolution (and rightly so). We pounded the UN for months and they reneged (cheese eating surrender monkeys). Then we went into Iraq after 14 months of planning and waiting. Took over an entire country within 30 days with minimal casualties. Now we are battling the terrorists on their turf rather than here (although I would relish the fight).

So for the past few months they were hiding behind the "I am for the troops" but "I would have created a coalition" (which did happen) yet "under the auspices of the UN" OR they merely say they would pull out and let the UN have it (although the UN is currently pulling out: can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!!). BTW, heads are rolling at the UN for the security lapses in Baghdad.

This is all about US security. Do you want that security to rest with the UN? Or are we going to take the responsibility for our own security?

The Dem Candidates can not have it both ways. They have set themselves up so that the only way they win is by:

continued American bloodshed, until
politics forces us to pull out.

In either case the USA is screwed on the world stage. Not a recipe for success.

don't let the post count or my state fool you there Wisconsin Walkowiak. I learned a lot from TFL and am here for the gun info not to troll on politics. That being said, ann coulter circle jerks are always amusing. I'll reserve my disdain for entertainers like Ms. Coulter and her conservative-lite fans and save it for our real enemies.

Okay, I'll accept that. If you're a true friend of RKBA, but have different political leanings otherwise, that's cool.

Although, I never mentioned who the "low post-count peanut gallery" was by name, but I noticed you felt the need to respond. :D

I've not read much by Ann Coulter, but I've heard a lot of good things about her writing. If this piece is representative, tho, it seems I've been misled.

This article is long on insults, and short on substance. Her position is generally correct. The Democrats do love to riddicule Bush for not magically solving all of the worlds problems. The Democrats clearly don't have any suggestions of their own on how to do this. But Coulter spends most of the article insulting prominant Dems, not supporting her position.

Insulting Democrats may be fun, but it's no way to construct a logical arguement. Hopefully Coulter does better in her other work.

Cheap shots at the looks of mouthy celebrities are par for the course. But I've always found the Democrats' making fun of her for looking "manly" to be a bit odd. I mean, it isn't like they have a bullpen full of hottie commentators or anything. When Alan Colmes is in "Playgirl" or Hillary loses the cankles and chipmunk-cheeks, the criticisms of Coulter's looks might seem just a little bit less utterly desperate...

It is funny how the vast majority of Liberal commentary on Conservatives is toward their looks instead of their message.

Ann Coulter: man-hands

Katherine Harris: makeup

Linda Tripp: old, fat, ugly

The U.S. military has had considerably more success in turning Iraq around than liberals have had in turning the ghettos around with their 40-year "War on Poverty." So far, fewer troops have been killed by hostile fire since the end of major combat in Iraq than civilians were murdered in Washington, D.C., last year (239 deaths in Iraq compared to 262 murders in D.C.).

Apt comparisons, I'd say.
