Re: Golf Courses
<CaddyShack Theme Song>
Well...
While there is something to said about a Golf Course being wasted, and better used for a rifle range, clay target range, or similar...
I get a bit older and "learnt" something.
-They took out one old golf course, got a bunch of Whiny Butt Folks type Condos , Apartments, and businesses. Not to mention on the "way back" nine one could ride dirt bikes, cut across to some great fishing, and hunting. Now it is a "safe gated community" that the whiny butts keep getting robbed.
-Another Golf course when the River floods it...see ya getcha a jonboat and some waders. Go get the fish and not have to deal with rods, reels, hooks , bait....take a gun or three...LOTs of snakes!
"Officer, I am doing my Ethical Critter Duties and not wasting game".
"And them shotguns and sidearms are for..."
"Better for me to have these fish , <sniff, moist eyes, sniff> and share with the unfortunate elderly. <aw, gee whiz> than snakes and critters"
"Why yes of course, what a charitable thing to do - ya'll be careful ya hear?"
Hey, we had girls in on this dealie, and nobody said the elderly couldn't be kinfolks that knew how to do hushpuppies up right.

I may or may not be aware of how silent an electric golf cart can be at night. Or have any knowledge of lights after dark being that of "groundskeeper" , 'cause State Reg's "say" one ain't supposed to be shining lights after dark unless frog gigging, or coon hunting in certain seasons.
Tip: Ya know them guns that shoot ping pong balls? Wind catches them real easy, but once on the green, a pool cue works great for a putter.
All in the name of research of course, I mean a ping pong ball "looks" like it'll fit in a hole for a golf ball - but one must be thorough in research - right?
Them inexpensive , lightweight canvas golf bags ...err...always liked them best anyway.
