another ar scope thread

does anyone have a scope mounted on an A3 (flat-top) upper with a front-sight post?
does the front-sight post impair your view?
does it get better/worse with magnification?
did you mount the scope higher than normal to avoid the post?

Usually the sight if too close to focus and it isn't picked up, but could hamper the amount of light gathered. FWIW, All of my flat-top AR's had fixed front sights and they never bothered me.

I put the last one up on this riser before I bought a full flat top and it did great.

I had a 3x9x40 on it and you could barely see a haze on low power but nothing at all that would affect shooting.
