Another Bersa 380 Thread

I agree. My EDC is a M&P 9c and the Bersa 380 is downright svelte compared to it. It would be a little large for pocket carry but it would be great IWB.

Not American made, but Im hearing some good things about them....will take a look at Buds.

A lot of what I hear is that they are as big as some of the new 9mm's. Im not convinced that a 9mm is vastly superior to the .380 at all. From what I gather, 9mm's this small just flat out suck to shoot and I would have to agree. The LCP is just about enough in terms of recoil. I shot about 150 rounds when I first got it and that was enough, I cant imagine a 9mm in a package only slightly larger (P11, PF9, etc).

I think the .380 gives you plenty of power in a great CC package. Ammo is fairly close to 9mm in price for the most part as well.

I will stop rambling now, ahahaha!

If there are 9mms the same size as the Bersa for less than 300 bucks and without the heavy recoil I would like to see one. Size isn't everything.

i picked up a bersa 380 all blued not two-tone for $130 bucks last week, only has 50 rounds down the barrel, i haven't shot it yet but i hear good things, i figured for that little amount of money i can't lose

I"ll give you 150 for it right now! Make a quick 20 bucks! Just kidding. Good find.

I only think its right that i post this. I got the m&p 9c because the BP9cc is having export problems!!!!!!!

I have been looking for a 2nd carry gun for when the m&p is too big but i dont want to carry a 380 pocket gun. I want a 637 j frame chiefs special, i owned a bersa thunder 9 full size best gun i have ever owned for the money! I LOVE BERSA!!! bersatalk.com

Where are you finding cheap 380 ammo? I'd really like to know.

380 is 50% for expensive to shoot than 9.

9mm $8/box
380acp $12/box

Still cheaper than 45 ACP.

Ammo man has federal 380 fmj for 29 cents a round delivered to your door. That is just a penny or two a round more than inexpensive 9mm.

Last time I bought 9mm it as $.18 a round shipped. 380 is considerable more expensive.

Bought a Bersa 380 CC model used for 200 2 yrs ago. had less than 50 rounds through it.
Since the then it has been a wonderful litte piece that will snything I feed it. Good ergos and comfortable to shoot and carry. Wont replace my CZ 75 compact for edc but fills in for church, beach, and hanging out around the house.

Actually its cheaper for me to shoot than 9mm since it uses less powder. I bought 500 cases shortly after I bought my LCP and I'm on the second go around reloading them. Reloading is a God send with ammo prices like they are. One of the reasons I would like a Bersa is I think I can carry/load a little stouter loads for the Bersa than the LCP.

I have both an LCP and a Thunder .380. Its hard to compare the two. The LCP is so much easier to tuck away in a pocket. The Bersa is so much easier to shoot well. They are just two different pistols. I will not part with either one as I love them both for what they are. I also have a few others, 9mm's, which can be carried. Which one goes depend on time of year (clothing) and where we will be.

Its nice to have choices. Oh, and I reload .380 and 9mm so ammo is not an issue. It costs pretty much the same for either.

I did considered very hard about the Bersa and reloading 380. But the problem is there're no free 380 brass to pickup; so I'd have to buy brass $$$. On the other hand 9mm brass is littered everywhere.

Fwiw I carried my thunder 380 iwb and honestly forgot it was there a lot of the time, good price, good accuracy, decent punch, I love it

I picked up a new Duo tone Thunder yesterday (fired casing was 12- 3 -10 ) that pretty close to day made . Was $259 The CC was 279 .
Firestorm is a company that contracts Bersa to make their pistols for them.( Same as RIA made by Armscore this common in gun world) At present only the 22 and the 380 are being made in Firestorm name. They are imported by same company that imports the Bersa and have same warranty and use same Warranty centers.

I have not saw any plastic fixed sights on the Thunders Might be on the CC but those sights are min as pistol is reduced to make pocket carry easier. Shorter barrel 3/16" thinner safety and slide stop and removal of the long rear tang. Flat bottom mag.
I carry normal Thunder IWB and truthfully ever paid all that much attention to the CC . My Thunder is more comfortable to shoot than my PPK/S and has much better trigger
If you want to know about Bersa go to http://bersachat.com That where you can find information and other Bersa owners

The plastic sights were definitely not on the CC. The CC uses integral sights where these sights were a staked in front and a dovetailed rear. It was identical to the all blued 380 model but with the plastic sights being the only difference I noticed. Tomorrow I'll stop there again and peek at the slide to see if it is a Firestorm or Bersa.

I have a Bersa thunder 380+ (Double stack Mag) I bought this last year all blued, steel sites been real happy with it, almost lost it to my wife when she tried it.
Cheepest way I have to get ammo for it is to reload for it as no stores with in 40 miles of carry ammo for it.

I won an online auction for a NIB Bersa 380 Duotone for $220.00 shipped. It will cost $25 for the transfer so it will be $255.00 total. The local shop wanted $329.00 for an old ratty used one so I did alright.

I picked up my Bersa today. Its a sweet little pistol. I'm taking it to the range tomorrow.
