Seriously though, with all those witnesses and the police presence, there were other options than to intervene.

And they wonder why nobody wants to get involved.

There is no wonder, it’s that we have a society full of cowards. The video you linked is a man assaulting a woman he doesn’t know while onlookers do nothing. That’s cowardice. That’s being a worthless person. A domestic you obviously take a big chance, but you also live with it if you stand there and witness a person beat a woman.

There used to be men in this country. I’m glad I knew some who ran to the sound of gunfire when I was in the Corps. We’re lesser when we let men assault women openly and then claim it’s the right thing to do to justify their own cowardice. It never is.

Yep, New York where the perp is/maybe arrested and then released without bail.

Yep, I learned a lesson about this in my younger days.
I pulled in to a local convince store / gas station one night to fuel up my bike. On the other side of the pumps a guy was beating the ..... out of this gal in their car and she was screaming. I snatched him up and started choking him out and next thing I know she's wailing on my head telling me to let him go.
I let him go and told them both to ..... and I was calling the cops. Lesson learned. Unless a weapon is involved and/or a life is definitely in jeopardy and my intervention is the only option, I'm staying out.

You can call me a coward all you want to, but that just reflects your lack of understanding more than it reflects my lack of courage.

That woman that you think you are ‘rescuing’ will be back in his bed by midnight, and will happily testify against you at your felony assault trial. Hope you enjoy your lifetime loss of firearms rights.

I didn't call you anything. I said grown men watching a grown man assault a woman on a train are cowards. They are. The video was linked as the example of how to act, and I don't think it is. It is the pussification of America, like the reporter said. She's right. If you watch that go on, you might be a male, but you're no man.

And since the discussion has once again degenerated into people making moral judgements and commenting on the sad state of society this one is closed.

Again We discuss what's legal and what's tactically sound from a physical and legal aspect in this subforum. Comments about what's right or moral by a members personal standard are off topic and will be the end of thread
