Grandpa (me), daughter, son-in-law, 16 y.o grandson, and 4 y.o. granddaughter. Son-I-L's AR, mosin nagant, my Sharps .45-70, Ruger NMBH .45 Colt, and the hand me down .22 LR Cricket for granddaughter. Absolutely fun time by all. Everybody was safe, including 4 year old. She takes commands to "Show me clear" and snaps back the bolt, looks in the chamber, and calls "Clear!". Based on my range requests (unsupervised, general agreement range activities rather than commands) she's happy to repeat "Cease Fire" when I call it. When the range is back to hot, having heard me call it, she loads the single shot and calls out "Fire In The Hole!" Her mom reminds her it only needs to be call once, but it never gets old hearing it.
They all LOVE shooting, no complaints about safety, whose turn to shoot, etc. Being retired, I go to the range whenever it moves me. But it's never so special as when the brood is along
