Hello all! New to the forum here and have been researching the dates of my rifles and such and I've had a hard time narrowing down a year on my Sako 30.06. I bought the rifle from a co-worker for $150 about 5 years ago. THe thing is in good condition. The reciever is marked "L61R No.951". The barrel has the following markings: "Finnbear, Made In Finland", "Sako Cal 30-06" and "Bofors Steel" and a couple of other unidentifiable symbols.

To make a long question short anyone know what year this rifle is and approx. value??

If the serial # is 951, it would have been made in the early sixties. Depending up it's originality and condition, it should be worth anywhere's from $500 to $750. If it were chambered in a less common caliber, it would be worth considerably more.
