My daughter brought home a few friends from college this last weekend, and one of the things she wanted to do was go out shooting. One of her friends is from Chicago and has never fired a gun before, and she wanted a chance to try it. So we brought out a couple of 22 rifles, a couple of 22 handguns, a 12 gauge shotgun, and a few centerfire handguns.

The girls did some serious damage to a number of aluminum cans and bowling pins.

The friend from Chicago did quite well, and tried every gun we brought. Her favorite was the King Cobra with the 12 gauge a close second. The Ruger P85 was popular with the ladies as well.

Awesome! I'm so glad that they all had such a wonderful time. I can see in the picture that you did a good job of teaching safety as well.

What is the pink gun that the girl in pink is holding?

That is my daughter holding her Taurus TCP, a Davidson's "Raspberry" version. I brought that one home, she saw it and it was gone before I even got to shoot it once.

Love to see new shooters having fun and being shown how to shoot safely! Great job! I must admit I am a bit envious, neither my son or daughter ever had any interest in shooting or hunting, and I never felt it right to force them into it.

Thats awesome. Over xmas break my son was home from college and his girlfriend was down for a few days. She's never shot before and both my boys are shooters. Well needless to say my sons girl had a ball shooting various guns from 22 to a 5.56 STG

That's great man, glad to see they all enjoyed themselves! My best friend has two girls age 14 and 6. The 14 year old just passed down her .22 crickett rifle to her little sister. That was one excited 6 year old! She is definitely going to be the shooter in the family. She absolutely insists on sitting in the treestand with her dad during deer season! It's definitely a joy seeing kids do what I used to do when I was there age and not sitting mindlessly in front of a video game console!
