It appears that neither Remington or Winchester offer chrome-lined bores in their autoloading shotgun lines - in either their 'hunting' guns, or their 'defensive'/LEO lines. This seems to be the case in their pump guns, too, and also seems to be the case for Rugers.

I'd love to be corrected if I'm wrong, and have someone point me to models from these vendors that DO have chromed bores - or to aftermarket vendors of chromed bbls for Rem or Winch autoloaders.

Just trying to buy US before I drift to Beretta or Benelli.

I drifted to the Russian made Baikal guns.
Chrome lined, Colonial choke tubes, built like tanks, swing like track rail, and kill ducks and doves they do.
About a quarter the price of a Beretta.
I just can't put steel shot down my Belgian Auto 5 barrel!

Thanks for ref to FNH SLP shotgun. It does seem that FNH likes to chrome line some bbls - for example, some of their 308 rifles have chromed bbls.

However, their website entry for SLH, nor any of their website's descriptive text for overall shotgun line, makes any reference to chrome lining:

Do you have another source for the info on chrome lining?

BTW this SLH looks like a nice gun but I'd love to have a 22" bbl on it...

What difference does a chrome lined barrel make? I noticed that Browning offers chrome lined chambers, but not barrels.

They don't get nearly as dirty and are much easier to clean, and of course they don't rust.

As mete said - plus they last far far longer when steel shot is used.

All my semiauto rifles (ARs, M1A and FALs) have chromed barrels (chamber + bore). If I could change my Rem 700s to chromed bores I would also.

I want to get an M1A SOCOM16 but Sprgfield Armory doesn't supply chromed bbls on this rifle (or on M1As anymore). When they revert to their original bbls I'll buy one.

[The assertion that chromed rifle bbls are less accurate is mere repetition of myth - it's thrown out by the bbl vendors that can't make chromed bores or can't afford the reject rate for their pricing. The various FNH 308 and 223 bolt guns (that are roughly akin to Rem 700PSS/LTR guns) having chromed bores are proof that this is irrelevant as these are same-hole tack drivers.]
