Any Beretta Storm Owners finding rust?

I posted this query on Berettaforum.net so I apologize to anyone who has already seen it. My Storm has developed rust on the bottom of the barrel, right around where the serial number is stamped. Anyone else with the problem?

But I try to wipe it down every so often.

Are you sure it's rust? Could be bluing salts leaching out of something. That is assuming it is blued, but being a Beretta it may have their Bruntion (sp) finish.

Brown flecks. They aren't coming off using break free though. I haven't used anything too abrasive yet. Just soaked it in CLP then wiped it off with a rough cloth.
