The action bridges are flat on the top but not drilled and tapped. You can see the grooves on their sides for the mount to grip.

The barrel is marked:

MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA 7.0

with it's s/n and the year 50.

Well that's what I would call a double square top then. Some call them double flat top bridges, but that seems incorrect to me as a rifle only has one bridge.
Regardless that's a very cool rifle you have there. And probaly rare.
I know for a fact Brno's where banned from importation till the break up of the Soviet union, but I don't know when the ban started.

That rifle came with a really nice 'factory' scope mount that fits that action and the Leu. scope fits the mount!

I've got a real old-school Brno rifle; a Model 98/22 Mauser rifle in 7.92x57mm. Made in 1923 for the Czechoslovak Army, it was built on a production line purchased from Mauser Werke in Oberndorf, and has many parts that are Imperial German-marked which were purchased at the same time. The rifle was later sold to the Turkish Republic, and served there for many years before coming to the United States sometime in the late '90s. It's a fantastic shooter; with Turkish and Yugoslavian surplus ball ammo it regularly does 1.5-2MOA.

The rifle at the top is my Brno 22F. It's an 8x57 marked 7.9

It's got DST's and a full mannlicher stock.

It's scoped with a Kahles 2X7X36 now.

My first buck was taken with a BRNO 8mm with a Redfield scope and a jewelled bolt. Amazing gun.

i wonder if the action was later barreled in .243 as the .243 was not put out untill later in the 50,s. to me CZ,s are some of the finest firearms made. i own three .22-22 hornet-8mm. eastbank.
