It supposedly patterns tighter than any other buckshot on the market. It is an 8 pellet 00 load for pumps only.

"As displayed at Shot Show and Law Enforcement conventions, this ammo holds the tightest pattern of any shotgun ammo. This item is to be used in pump guns. Recommended by respected SWAT trainers."

Remember, when you're in a life or death situation, think "choke." Might be great ammo, but I gotta say I'm not sure about the name. :uhoh: ;)

Not new, been around for several years now. S.W.A.T. first reviewed it in the December 2000 issue. Good stuff. Think Glaser on steroids.
They also have a version that will work in semi-autos.

Not compatible with the Vang Comp Choke system?!?!?!

Ouch.....I wish I read this before buying a case, lol!

No experience with Choke, have heard about it tho'.
I respect Mr. Hansen's review...but I betcha even he would suggest the old try it and pattern in YOUR gun caveat.
Guns/loads/Shotguns all have a mind of their own.
I usually run 150 -200 rds of a SD SG load after I pattern it and like what I see. Why? I have my criteria:
Ammo MUST be Reliable evertime in that gun with that ammo my priority. Remember often in SGs its a matter of bore-not choke, that determines performance downrange.

YMMV.

I have some of it. It does hold a very tight pattern, and it very low recoil. It was able to keep about 4 pellets on the b27 at 50yds. At 25yds and closer it has no problem at all keeping a tight group. They are supposed to have a version that acts like a slug when fired and doesn't disperse until it strikes something. That is what I want to try out. Also, the low recoil, while nice to shoot, has me wondering if it has the power to penetrate like it needs to. But, until I see some testing, I'll just have to assume it does.

how it works in your gun, is more important than how it works in some gunzine writer's gun. The age old adage of 'buy and try' is still valid.

Reliability is a 'pay your money, and take your chance' type thing. What worked well for the last however many times, could just as easily fail the very next time. If a box or so works for me, thats all the testing I do for reliabilty. Again, the only 100% reliable shotgun shell, is the last one that went 'bang'.

Never heard of this ammo before, but it is $50/case cheaper than my favorite tried&true Fed reduced recoil 00! Also available in semi-auto version.

Anyone tested this compared to Federal? Is there more info about this?

Looks to be Law Enforcement Only though, is it available to law-abiding civvies?
