So I was at the local WM yesterday checking out the sad firearms collection. A guy that appeared in his early 20's arrives and states that he needs some 9MM. The clerk says that there is none on the shelf and haven't had any in quite some time. The dude goes off on him in quite a "Ken" manner and says everyone knows you guys hide the ammo out back and save it for your friends in a almost yelling voice. SO BRING ME FIVE BOXES NOW!!! This was the first day here without needing a mask and he repeated all that louder and louder as his face got redder and redder while pounding his fists on the glass counter. At this point several other employees had arrived and he was escorted out of the store yelling, surrounded by what I assume was security. Sorry, I never thought to use the camera to film this until after. I worry about people like this actually owing a firearm in the first place! Anyone got any strange stories to add.

Another class act, and guy who qualifies for membership in Mensa.

He’s lucky that nobody brandished a gun for his contemplation.

Imagine that human garbage on an airliner, being told that the plane must divert due to weather at the destination.

There's absolutely NOTHING at the LGS to buy. So nothing to get worked up over.

I was the other day to bring in an old Remington M58 12 gauge for repair and the shelves were bare. No powder, primers, ammo. Other than rifles and shotguns, pretty scarce.

An engaged "gun person" would know that shortages of 9 mm are, indeed, legit. So we can safely disavow this troublemaker as not being "one of us." Still, not a good look to outsiders.
They would also know that Walmart stopped carrying handgun ammo quite some time ago and that when they had ammo, it was a 3 box limit per person per day

It's the Crocs that are a dead giveaway. No Gun Guy would wear those horrid things.

You know why there are holes in Crocs? So all your dignity can leak out.

Nobody with any self respect would wear those abominations.

:rofl::neener:
I resemble that remark!! LOL,
I have two pair, one for working in my garden and one for inside the house! I occasionally wear them to the store with my socks also!:cool:
Have also been sighted wearing them while riding my Goldwing with feet on the highway bars, all the ATGAT guys would go nuts over this one:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Ironically, I was a gun shop 50 miles from my home yesterday looking for ammo, and a young hipster looking guy in his 20's tried to buy a pistol. Not sure which one as I was about 20' away looking at optics.

But I heard the clerk ask to see the man's driver's license and the young man mumbled something back, then the clerk said, "You don't have a driver's license?" More mumbling. Then "No, son, you need some form of government ID to buy a gun." Then the hipster skulked away. Either some ignorant kid, or some vlogger trying to prove that you don't need an ID to buy a gun.

I suspect this incident will show up on the "customer's" tik-tok channel with a click-bait headline such as "WALMART REFUSES ME SERVICE BECAUSE IM WHITE! LOOK!!!!!"

Or some such nonsense. His idiot buddy was probably discreetly filming the whole thing from the next isle over.

I have one that made me shake my head. About six months ago I was at a LGS looking for some bullets. At the counter a couple was purchasing a handgun. First time gun owners that reminded me of retired college professors that drive a Prius with Hillary 2016 stickers. The salesman was showing them how to field strip it. Guessing by his tone, I got the impression it was the tenth time showing them. When he finished and racked the slide the lady freaked out. She started waving her hands and screaming "stop, I can't stand that sound". Everyone in the shop just stared. I'd love to see her reaction when her husband fires it.

I wonder if he ever did shoot it. I love that more people are first time gun owners. But there's just some people that shouldn't own them.

Or SHE does........................

Saw something similar a few months ago at a local Academy. Big guy, 6'4 250, accused the young clerk at the counter of keeping ammo in the back for himself and friends. As it escalated to different managers he began yelling and trying to intimidate everyone that got involved. After one of the managers told him the police had been called the guy got quiet and realized that it was probably in his best interest to vacate the premises.

I paid for my fishing lures and on my way out and saw, over by the outside display of canoes, a five foot nothing female police officer had the big guy hemmed up with his head hanging down. She was writing a citation probably a criminal trespass warning meaning if he comes back he goes to jail.

I have seen nothing crazy in my area. Of course, I almost never go into a Wal-Mart, no reason to since they stopped selling handgun ammunition. I've transferred my loyalty to my local Bi-Mart, which not only still sells handgun ammo (two box limit per brand/type, not caliber, no limit total) and at almost pre-pandemic prices to boot.

Perhaps people are more polite and respectful up here? (caveat: I don't shop for anything in and around Seattle)

Actually, the craziest thing I've witnessed was a guy who about fell all over himself thanking the counter gal at my local store for simply having some ammo he needed in stock. Thought the guy was gonna cry... very touching.

My first impulse in these situations is to point out their stupidity ad then it usually occurs to me that people behaving this way have probably had their stupidity pointed out to them many times and it did no good then so what's the point. You almost feel bad for people that behave this way, erratic, angry, impulsive, foot stamping, fist pounding tantrum prone people.... like wth is wrong with you, get help.

They would also know Walmart hasn't sold pistol ammo since Dec. 29, 2020.

This is what I get for not reading all the posts first.......;)

Hooda Thunkit: Oh, the Humanity!

If prices dropped to 2019 levels (excluding new sales tax), I would wear Crocs and Leopard-Spotted  running shorts to Academy and Walmart.

Trying to blend in? :p

Was at a local store last week here in Odessa Texas looking for some Hi power grips. I overheard a guy telling the Lady behind the counter that he was for sure there was some paper work he must fill out to buy the AR magazine's he just purchased. He was not vulgar or anything just damn sure there was paper work he needed to fill out. Must have asked her "are you sure" 6 times before leaving. Not to crazy but I still got a good laugh.

Just warn me before you do this, so I can pull my hat down over my eyes.
Some things I just don't want to see. :barf:

LOL ! I've certainly seen some unusual folk at WalMart. And this is a relatively small town.

Actually, this doesn't surprise me. There's a good portion of gun owners -- probably even a majority -- that would fall all over themselves to comply with regulations, even non-existent regulations. (We see this in the obsession with 922(r) compliance.) I therefore question the amount of resistance to draconian gun laws in the future.
