Well we had the best weather in years for the first 4 days of the season which started on Nov.10. strong northerly winds and very cool temps high 30s and 40s. I understand everything frozen in ND and MN. I hunted 4 different leases in Cameron Parish for 6 hunts and have bagged 9 ducks total personally.!!!

I did hear that many limited out on opening day and since then things have been poor. you fellas having any better luck in TX or Ark?

duckless, Dog and I are bummed out!!!

Sorta matches the action around here. Now, I haven't BEEN, but there's lots of duck ponds and waterfowl outfitters around here. Opening morning and for a week, it sounded like a war across the woods on the tanks where they were shooting. And, I saw quite a few birds fly over here. I've been seeing a few birds, but none on the tank as they were and the shooting has calmed WAY down, so I'd say they moved the birds elsewhere.

I've been seeing lots of ducks on the water and some in the air in S. Oklahoma. I don't know if it's a normal amount or more or less as I am not a duck hunter.

Just a few local ducks and geese here, guess it has been too dry and warm

Here in central Louisiana it has been pretty slim. Our lakes are within its banks so we do not have water in timber at all. Wood duck numbers are way down and hardly any mallards/gadwalls. Teal saved the first week of the season as there were a few rice fields around holding a good number of greenwing, but that has played out the last several days. I believe with the mighty Mississippi way high for this time of year our ducks will be spread very thin. All we can hope is that the rivers drop a good bit and ducks will move into our area.
