I was at Staples and saw a Sentry safe that seemed to fit the bill, and I got 25 bucks off cause the box had water damage (safe was fine.) So instead of paying 130 I paid 105. Seemed like a good deal so I went for it.
The safe is the Sentry V530

This safe is not as good as the HandGun Safe. because it doesn't have the rapid-open combination lock. However, I really only needed the safe to satisfy a silly New York requirement that says you must have a safe if you own 5 or more handguns. Can't get my fifth gun without the safe.
The V530 is part of the Steal-Safe line, as opposed to the Fire-Safe line. So the dial and other parts, like the mechanism cover on the inside of the door, are all metal, not plastic. The door is 1/4" thick, like the HandGun safe. I got this one 'cause it was bigger than the HandGun safe and less than half the price. The interior is:
11 1/8" H x 16 3/4" W x 11 7/8" D. The HandGun safe's interior is:
6 1/8" H x 11 7/8" W x 15 1/4" D.
If the Sentry was 1 inch deeper, then my longest handgun box would have fit in lengthwise. But no matter, I can still fit my guns with their boxes, as opposed to the HandGun safe where I think I would have had to put the guns into properly-sized soft cases to get them all in there.
Since I keep a gun out for protection, this worked out to be a better value for me.
