I recently got a 452 FS in .22 LR (my first CZ) and now I got a bug for a 527 Lux in .223.

In particular I am interested in this rifle due to its iron sights, long barrel and sight radius, set trigger, and stock designed for suitability for irons. I also like the idea of a "Micro" action just for this length of cartridge. If I get one, I have no intention of scoping the gun.

However I have never seen a CZ centerfire of any kind in person... the local shops just don't carry them. In fact I went several hours and out of state just to get my 452 FS.

Anyway my primary concerns are for a great quality trigger break, accuracy, good fit and finish, and a nice piece of wood. Any input?

I have a CZ 527 .223 Varmint Kevlar and can only speak to the set/standard trigger and accuracy which is excellent. The CZ 527 Lux is a handsome rifle, I think you would be very happy with. There's some information here that shows how to adjust the set trigger.

I have a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62x39, a CZ 527 Varmint (Walnut) in .204 Ruger and a CZ 527 Varmint Kevlar in .223, just like the one pictured above. They are all excellent rifles. The set triggers on all of them are very nice (and consistant across all rifles).

Obviously, I'm a fan of the 527. I don't think you could really go wrong with any of them.

My 527 223 Varmint Laminate

welding rod, like taurus 44 and eaj I love my 527 (see link below). I also have two more CZ's in 22lr; a 453 American and 452 FS. All are great looking rifles and I have been pleased with the accuracy. Along with the rifle photo, I have included a target photo shot at 25 yard with 527. I have not been able to get back out to the range with the 527 to see how she will do at 50 and 100 yards. Based on the 5 shot group at 25 yards, the 527 should have good groups at 50 and 100 yards.
