I'm currently "sort of" working on two others. One is Summer of War, its the story of North Korea launching a pre-emptive strike into South Korea. It is told from the perspective of many different US soldiers, their paths almost crossing without them actually meeting (an infantry soldier being over run, a tank unit saving the biscuits. Each perspective is told, but only the read knows the details of the chance encounter).
The other is a veteran who has grown up in rural arkansas and has been done wrong by various corrupt branches of fed and local gov--overtaxed, local sherrif leaning on Pa to run the shine, VA telling him to get bent when he was entitled to med bennies.

Great epilogue MudPuppy! Write the book . . . I'll buy it and, I'm sure I won't be alone.

I read a pretty good one on timebomb2000.com. The "event" was earthquake, volcano rather than EMP, but the survival and such was similiar to Lights Out. Shattered and Deep Winter were the two parts to that.

One of these days, I intend to try my hand at a "post event" yarn. I need to wrap up some open projects. (Hah, "wrap up"--that's very optimistic of me.)
