Has anyone seen or tried these. Shooting steel tipped rounds out of the Beowulf could interesting, if not down right impressive, but at almost $5.00 a piece for just the bullet ($71.50/15), they are ridiculously expensive. What makes these so special? Are the AP? The site says that they are “Dangerous Game Steel Tip”. Are these intended for Cape Buffalo or Rhino’s or something? The BIG bears? Any one have any ideas?

Just curious-

Hi Knoxx-

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the "powerbelt" bullets are made for .50 caliber muzzleloaders. They MIGHT work O.K. in the Beowulf, but I doubt it.

If you try them, let us know how they work!

Good Shooting,

I don't know. If you check out the link, it is a 50Beowulf site, and thats all that they deal with is 50 Beo- I don't know if they are trying to sell muzzle loader bullets as something new or what... I just never had heard of these things before, and was curious.

They where designed and built at first for the owner of Power Belt bullets for a Cape Buff hunt, to work with black powder substitue like Pyrodex and 777.
