Any input on Bark River Bravo Necker II?

Not much new to add. I've switched to a kydex sheath and I'm still carrying it. It is more of an overbuilt compact outdoors drop-point knife than the role I had in mind for it. I like the grind and the edge. It is a great slicer and holds a high edge better than any other knife I have.

It is still a carbon steel though so you have to maintain it like one. I'm also not all that sure that it is worth twice the price of more affordable similar styled neckers without the full convex grind.

What have you been doing with it maintenance-wise? I've been interested in buying a tool-steel knife, perhaps in 3V, but my knives sometimes get wet and stay that way for a day or two when I am hiking or camping or fishing.

What other neckers do you think are comparable?

This will rust if you leave it wet for a day or two. I've been wiping it down with mineral oil or a silicone cloth periodically and making an effort to wipe it dry after every use. If you wipe it down with a silicone cloth, it will do OK as long as you wipe it completely dry immediately after use.

I don't know that there are any other neckers with a full convex grind; but in the same size range you have the ESEE Izula and Becker BK11, BK14, BK24 at half the price but probably 90% of the performance.
