Any Mil or LEO that have actually been in a gunfight?

If you're willing to, or if you can talk about it, I have some questions for you guess who have actually been in a gunfight.

1. What do you wish you would have known before the situation? I don't mean like "I wish I knew how many bad guys there were going to be". I mean like what training did you wish you had, or had more of?

2. Did you feel confident going into the situation?

3. What was the rough distance to your bad guy?

4. How many rounds did it take to end the fight?


I ask this question with the utmost respect, please do not take this question as a "did you kill a guy?" type of question.

I appreciate any answers, you guys have the unique experience that most of us do not have, and I would love an opportunity to learn from it.
