I don't know how you would study TaiChi without a teacher in the beginning. I spent 3 years studying under a teacher in the Chin style and now practice on my own. I still get together with my teacher occasionally.

If you came to China, you will find this phenomenon, many groups of people practice Tai Chi everywhere in the morning. Every City, every corner of square. It is more popular than ten years before.

Hope you have a good day.

Been a few years since I was in China (Shanghai) but every morning driving from our hotel to SAIC as noted people of all ages practicing Tai Chi.
I was hoping to see something in the for sale forum.

I recommend another movie about Yip Men to you, “the grandmasters” by Wong Kar Wai.
But I also guess you may have viewed it.

Are you studying Taichi by yourself or some organizations?

The tai chi was with an instructor. I enjoyed it very much. I'm will check to see if the movie title you mention is different from the one that I saw.

The movies mentioned are on Netflix or Hulu (can't remember which I watched them now).

While movies and videos are all fun and interesting they are not to be mistaken for reality or for proper real world training. The weight and balance of a sword/staff/etc make a world of difference between a lively extension of the will and a dead lump fighting your every move.
