I got a new brake and I really had to man handle it to screw it on. It got real tough toward the end and I had to apply a lot of torque. Someone made this comment
"Here's a thought. Since a 14X1 muzzle brake is overly tight on a VZ2008, would it deform the barrels shape? Could it possibly be so tight that it's creating micro fractures and making the barrel lose it's true cylindrical shape and affecting accuracy? You will have a problem with alignment. "
My first reaction is that is total B.S. The resistance was from the threads. If I had been smart and lubed them before I started it would of been easier. There is no way I "micro fractured" or compressed or distorted a steel barrel. If anything I would of worried more about twisting it when I cranked down on it but a lot of force is used pressing the barrel in the first place. Still the comment has me worried even if I can't think of a single rational reason I should be.
I am ok. right?
