I have a Chinee clone of an M44 carbine in 7.62x54. I looks okay, but is missing the bayonet. If there's no interest in these guns other than as shooters, I'm considering having the bayo "lug" ground off and Bubba-izing it a bit. (prob'ly just Mojo sights, but who knows?) Any ideers?

Even though the Chinese Mosin Nagants are fairly uncommon, there doesn't seem to be a huge demand for them except for a few collectors that just have to have an example of every varient. I guess a lot of folks just think Chinese = cheaply made.

I'd recomend that you at least offer it for sale in the trader. I'm sure you could get a little more for it than a nice M44 would cost. You may even be able to pick up an M38 which already has no bayonette lug.
