I'm trying to do some research..

Are there any rifles that are striker fired instead of hammer fired? (While I know technically a hammer hits the striker, what I mean was striker only, a la Glock)...

Most all bolt guns are striker weapons. I'm having a hard time thinking of a striker fired auto, but then again I don't know much.

Except for some antiques, all bolt action rifles are striker fired, not hammer fired. Most semi- and full-auto rifles, on the other hand, are hammer fired (M1, M14, M16, AK-47, SKS, Johnson, G.43, etc.). Some .22 semi-autos are hammer fired in the sense that a round "hammer" in the bolt is held back by the sear and comes forward to strike a firing pin in the front part of the bolt.

Most lever action rifles are hammer fired, the Savage 99 being an exception, as it is striker fired. Single shot rifles of the falling block type are generally hammer fired; of the bolt type are striker fired.

I'd qualify that further.

Most .22 semi-autos are striker fired

The Ruger 10/22 is hammer-fired.

If I remember correctly, the new Thompson/Center rimfire autoloader is hammer-fired, too.

The Calico M-951 Tactical Carbine is a striker fired semi-auto. The Auto Ordnance Thompson semi's are also striker fired.

There is a rimfire target rifle--Anshutz or something hign-end, that used a striker set with button-springs in the bolt, coaxial with the bore. It was renowned for having a very short lock-time....
