I thought about doing this a year ago; but I backed out. I plan to buy 3 ruger 10/22s. Two will be made into one of these Gatling guns. http://gatlingguns.com/indexframeset.html

(They look pretty fun!) And the third will be made into a "taticool" plinker/squirrel slayer....why? Because it sounds fun:neener:

Tell me about any tactical stocks you know of, right now I am looking at these.

The bull up stock (2nd one down)

The tactical looking thingy from ram line that doesn't fold. (#4 down)

I do not want a butler creek, folding or dragunov stock...it looks like every one has one and, I want something kinda' unique (but not a krinker plinker;) )

I will buy a red dot and a cheap laser.

If it can take em' (I don't think the bullup will) I will order some 50 round tear drop drums. (for the gatling gun also)

What I would mainly like to see is some cool looking stocks, I may have missed.

It will probably take me 2 months to get this all together. I plan to buy at least 2 of the rifles this weekend, and start ordering some of the accessories I want.

Sorry about my grammar:eek:

hmmm

Those look pretty nice, I will have to think about them. They are definatley "taticool" enough. But they are kind of fat. thanks! I wanted a telescoping stock but couldn't find one. I might get one of those.:scrutiny:

Well i'm not to sure what the definition of "tacticool" is or that i'd want to use a 10/22 as a base for building a tactical rifle when CETME's and AK's can be had for as low as $350 at some gun shows, but whatever floats your boat. The Muzzelite bullpup stocks won't accept high cap mags unless the rear portion of the pistol grip is filed down, I've seen modified stocks on ebay, but I've heard that these were low quality and come loose easily. I don't really like the idea of putting the trigger mechanism in the rear and using another part to pull the trigger, sounds problematic.
Also, why spend $80 on the teardrop mags when the 50-rd ramline and Butler Creek 50 rounders only cost $27 and work just as well?
(are drum shaped mags more "tacticool" for some reason, I admire your aspirartion to have something that nobody else has, but why spend more than you have to?)
I recently saw this strange looking 10/22 stock I think it was made by a company called Tactical Solutions, it was all metal and used AR style pistol grips and M4 collapsible stocks, it had a quad rail mounting system on the forearm. I haven't been able to find the website for it, but it might be something you're interested in.

lol

I know it's not really tatical. For that I got my wasr10 and my ar15 lower that I have not bought an upper for yet(although they are just plinkers to me also...I am not a shtf type:eek: ). I just want something fun to plink and blaze away with.... and what's better for that then mall ninja 22. :)

Well

I checked some rim fire forums, and the ramline I was talking about is made in a folding one. I would go for one of the AR style stocks...but their just to fat!:neener:

Here is what I am thinking of,

http://www.gunaccessories.com/1022/stocks.asp 4th stock down, but folding (midway has it)

These HK style sights http://www.gunaccessories.com/1022/sights.asp

The barrel shroud on the bottom http://www.gunaccessories.com/1022/shroudhandguard.asp

this red dot http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ...parentType=index&indexId=cat320001&hasJS=true

A few of these drums(not tear drop) http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=49141726 any one know how good quality these are?

I will need some mounts for the red dot too, any recommendations.

Also here is my question, is it possible to have the red dot and use those iron sights. I would like to use irons every once in a while:) ( I have never put optics on anything, I am more of a hand gun guy)

edit also this laser http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templ...parentType=index&indexId=cat320001&hasJS=true its cheap but it's a 22 for crying out loud, I am spending to much as it is.

edit 2 where can I get a rail for the laser, or will I have to go junkier then that:D

I did it

I justbought a 10/22 carbine(only $170 most places around here are 200)...I need 4 of these now because this looks nice by it self, and I would hate to not have one this way.:)

For a mount I suggest Power Custom, I bought one of these a while back for my stainless dsp and it's great. It's a bit more expensive compared to others, but it is definitely worth it.
I like the look of the new 10/22 compact rifle with the 16.5" barrel, I haven't seen any in the stores yet, but If I do I'll check it out. They're $100 more than the standard model, but seem to be more practical than the fat stocked, barrel banded models.

If you like the bullpup config. then take a look at Walther's G22, very nice quality and accurate, these run about $320-350, no high-caps for those though so your limited to 10 rounds.

I've been thinking about going bullpup, and it seems to me that I've read far better reviews of the Dixie Consolidated bullpup kit than of the G22. I tried handling a G22 in a store, and it didn't do much for me. The lack of full-capacity mags is also a downer.

If anyone does get a DC bullpup, a full report would be great; all I have to go on so far is the reports on rimfirecentral.com

Definitely shun the Muzzlelite bullpup kit. Horrid gear, that.
