Any updates on the Open Carry scene in Virginia?

Any VA THRfolks want to comment on the progress that the VCDL has had in promoting open-carry in VA?

I know that one of our THR members was hassled by the cops, and then VCDL came to his defense, fully vindicating him. See thread at: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=87012&highlight=undertoad

I really haven't heard much about folks being hassled since then. Did the movement peak with a certain number of die-hard open-carriers, and then plateau? Are more folks joining the OC movement? Has political intimidation decreased the ranks of OCers?

If it's any help to you, I open carry everyday. I have only had a couple of people
notice and ask me if it's legal. I simply tell them yes and go on my way. I've passes a couple of cops and never had one question me. Overall my experience has been pretty uneventful.

I think its growing as a movement

Personally I can say that I haven't had any real problems open carrying. Haven't seen any backlash either.

There was a thread at http://www.packing.org about an open carrier getting hassled in Henrico earlier this week. As expected, the VCDL has entered the fray on behalf of the citizen who was wrongly harrassed.
