Haven't whitetail hunted with a .243 in several years, but will this season and already have two boxes of these. Gun will be Winchester 88 with 22 inch barrel. Would be interested in hearing from users of this exact ammo, thanks!

Fusion is great ammo for the price; you have every reason to expect great results. Many people I know use Fusion on deer, hogs, and elk in a variety of calibers, and none of them have ever told me about a poor experience with it.

I know you want commentary about that specific caliber and grain, but I figured I'd share what I've got and hopefully someone will chime in about your exact question.

Thanks, I appreciate the info!!

I've taken two deer, a mature whitetail and a mature mule deer with the 62 grain .223 load. I'd have absolutely no qualms about using the .243 Fusion load on deer.

I have used fusion loads in a 30.06 and they worked great. I have also used 95 grain rounds(I think from Winchester) in my .243 that also worked great. I would bet money that the combination would be deadly. I haven't actually used the 95 grain fusions but the best blood trail I ever followed was from a 95 grain from a .243 on a doe I shot a few years ago. In my opinion the .243 in 95 or 100 grains is almost the perfect whitetail round and I have used a lot of calibers. Never lost a deer with the .243.

Uhh...you serious? Looks clear to me. OP wants to know what folks have experienced using Federal Fusion .243 ammo on deer.

I've not used that ammo on deer. How about you TT ?

My daughter shot a small buck with the 95 gr Fusion last season at 90 yards. Deer went straight down. When I dressed it out it looked like a grenade had exploded inside the chest cavity.

Didn't understand your grammer, deleted.
I saw your original post before it was edited TT. The other responders didn't have your problem, and I appreciate their feedback.
