Let me start by saying I absolutely love the 2 YHM cans I own and have had nothing but great things to say.....until now. This all started with some worn-out teeth on a QD flash hider(picture below)that engage the base of the suppressor and lock it in place. Once those teeth wear out, the suppressor will want to un-thread or 'jump' back one click after a couple rounds...it throws off your point of impact, BADLY.

So the answer is simple...buy another QD from YHM. They were out of stock when I originally went to their web site in March, so I sent an email inquiring about a time-frame. "we're in the process of manufacturing more, check back in 6-8 weeks." Understandable, it's a hot item, they're selling tons of cans, I get it....Fast forward to today. Same question, but a slightly different answer....."Sir, we're manufacturing more right now, check back in 10-12 weeks and they should be available".

I'm livid, as you might imagine...YHM has developed this habit of making just enough QDs to be sure their cans keep going out the door with one, and NOTHING more. People who already have a suppressor are being told to pound-sand. If you buy a Phantom in 5.56 or 7.62 from YHM with the intention of using it on multiple rifles, you will soon find yourself in the same boat.
