Vances was out of .45 for a couple weeks but I just bought 4 boxes from them Thursday.
Were they out of stock again.. already?

Anyone else having trouble finding .45ACP?

No, not me.
When I empty a ammo box I just open another one.

I know I've said ten times in the last few months, I feel sorry for anyone that has to pay today's ammo prices.

These cost me $2.50 and about seven minutes of my time per fifty rounds.:)

I was in Vances' Friday the 27th and they had a crapload of .45 behind the counter. Looks like they just got a delivery or something. The Super Wal*Mart on US 23 north of Polaris is where I've been stocking up on CCI Blazer Brass for $10.97/50. Buy a box or two every few weeks. Sometimes they are out but they always get more by the time I have to go back in there.

They have Mossberg 500 poly furniture with slug barrel for $199. Blackwing has a well-used wood stock one for the same price on sale.

What I' ve had a hard time finding at Vances' is the CCI .22LR ammo they sold for $9.99 per brick of 500. They had oodles of it a few months ago, now its all gone. I liked it better than the Federal 550 pack at Wal*Mart for $9.97 but if that's the only game in town I guess I buy .22's at WM too.

The Wal*Mart lawsuit being referred to is the Las Cruces incident? I say that the Escobedos' family got fast-talked by a shyster in hopes of a settlement. Ammo is not controlled by the .gov and Wal*Mart is not in charge of asking any questions other than are you old enough to buy it legally.

Might as well sue Sunoco for selling Ken Rauch the gas he put in his car to drive to where he shot Escobedo.

This one will die quickly. No need to worry about WM getting out of ammo sales because of it.

Ha Ha I purchased 1500 rounds of Remington 45 ACP two weeks ago for $38.00. Local sports shop had it on sale for $11.99 a box if 10 or more boxes were purchased. They had 3 full cases so I bought them all. When I went to ring out the clerk had to get the manager to figure out how to apply the discount, checkout took around 10 minutes. Near the end I was getting impatient so when they finally handed me my CC receipt I was out of there. Later that day when I was putting up the ammo I notice that I had only been charged for 3 boxes not 3 cases. I called the store and requested to speak with the manager. I explained to him that earlier that day I had purchased ammunition and there was a problem, he immediately broke in with all ammunition sales are final in a condescending tone. I smiled and replied that I guess there isn't a problem after all. Funny thing is I was prepared to go down to the store and pay what was owed but in the end I had to respect thier "all sales final" policy.

What's everyone paying at Wally World these days for the WWB 100 round value-packs of .45ACP? It's been awhile since I've bought any, mainly because they're never in stock anymore. But I'm just curious if the price has gone up significantly since I last bought any.

I was just checking out the prices in WM earlier and Remington 230 Hollowpoints were 32.07 for a box of 100. The hardball...I think it was UMC 250 rounds for 63.76. Seems like the Winchester was 26.97 for a box of 100.

The worry is HANDGUNS being banned in Kali. Im just able to shoot more for less money with the 9mm vs .45
I believe the .45 to be superior in my limited experience, just wish the price wasnt also.

$28 a box for WWB here. Pre-tax. At my Wal-Mart, it's cheaper to buy two boxes of Blazer Brass (50 rounds each), which comes to $22 pre-tax.

I checked a local Wal-Mart for .45 Blazer Brass and they only had one box left. I checked with a manager and he agreed to order 1,000 rounds for me when he places the next order. I did grab a box of 100 WWB but it's more then 2x as much as the Blazer 50 pack.

I had this problem recently. Walmart puts their overstock of WWB ammo in common sizes (9mm, .40 and .45) under the counter on the side where the register is. They may have an empty spot on the shelf behind the back of the clerk, but their may be more under the register in those locked shelves. If you can, go around to the other side and look there first.

Also, they've got the cheapest 12 ga rifled slugs and buckshot that I've found. it was $2.38 for 5 1oz winchest super x rifled slugs, and $8.82 for 15 rds of 00 buck winchester 12 or 15 pellets (can't remember). Bought all they had yesterday, and will continue to do so. Sorry to anyone who wants 12 ga buckshot at the Newton, KS walmart, better get there before Sunday afternoon when I do my grocery shopping.

No problem here finding .45 ACP just the price alone keeps it on the shelf. $15.99 for a fifty round box of 230gr FMJ in places.

Catsailor, I wish you well, but you don't need it you lucky bum.;)
