Anyone even seen a SIG P-227 out there?

Yeah, I am happy with my FNP45 too. I just prefer an all metal gun. However, of all the poly 45's out there, I think the FN is the finest.

I'm curious, do you know what changes were made between the FNP-45 and the FNX-45 to warrant the new designation? I don't and am wondering if it is in any way worth it to trade up. I'm guessing not.

Just a few tolerance upgrades and the magazines aren't interchangeable. The FNX is lighter and has less recoil due to the fact that the 2 ounce difference has been taken out of the slide.

Both are great shooters and very accurate.

I've owned 5 of these pistols, 3 Fnp and 2 FNX Their are some other improvements to the FNX line 1. The triggers are lighter in S/A mode with a very pronounced reset 2. As mentioned the Tolerences are tighter in several area's. 3. The Fit and finish is much nicer overall (especially the matte stainless slides) 4. They also fixed the issue with the interchangable grip back straps coming loose. 5. The new barrels have more chamber support. There may be more improvements but these are the ones I'm aware of. I'm not a huge polymer fan either but these are very well made guns.

I just wish they'd fix the weak safety /decockers. I've seen enough broken FNX 45s. Shoulda made them out of aluminum coated with a polymer. They strip out way too easy.
