Greetings all,

In my never ending quest for a great scope, I came across Meopta scopes on SWFA.com. Originally I was going to go with a Leupold Mark 4 LR PR 4.5-14 x40, then was turned on to the Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 (1 inch tube though). It seems the Meopta has the features I'm looking for (30mm tube being one of those things). Anyway, I'd appreciate any info on these scopes.

Thanks,
Ken

I have Meopta Artemis 3200(not sure on the number??) mounted on a Browning Acera .30-06------have yet to shoot it yet-----but its a very nice scope for the price I paid ----$249 NIB.

Was originally priced at $450----but the dealer have tough time moving them because nobody knew anything about them---so I got mine on close out.

Zeiss glass too-----I think???

I once worked for russian dealer of Meopta scopes, and my friend had a factory tour at Meopta factory in Czech republic last year. They got their own glass, not Zeiss's, and their glass and tubes are very well made; and, in general, Meopta are pretty good scopes, a good match for its compatriot CZ rifles...
overall, i suppose that Meopta scopes are first class for hunting purposes, but I never used their only Tactical model...
