Google search only turned up one revelant result, and it had nothing to do with their single/double pistols.

While I'm not exactly optimistic about the things based on their looks and their price points (which have actually gone up substantially since last time I checked - $70 seemed like a much closer bang-for-the-buck figure...) the idea of a SxS .410 handgun is too cool to pass up.

I've always been fascinated with the idea of creating a 20- or 12-gauge singleshot handgun, for the shiz-and-giggles aspect if nothing else. These are pretty much what I had in mind, but I guess .410 is as close as I'm gonna get.

Commence saving me from buying a $150 hand amputator.

12 or 20 gauge handgun would be an NFA weapon, requiring a $200 tax stamp to purchase or manufacture (or $5 to purchase if it's built on a frame that has never had a stock, but that would still be $200 to make). The .410 ones get around this because they have a rifled barrel which will also accept .45 LC. Anyway, buying one of those things is probably win/win. Either you have fun with it, or it blows your hand off and you sue Leinad for a million dollars.

I'd probably recommend a Bond Arms or American Derringer .45LC/.410 double barrel derringer over one of those things, though.

Thanks for the input.

I know there are plenty of other, probably more structurally sound .410 derringers out there, but these just catch my fancy for some reason.

Mebbe I'll get one, duct-tape a Surefire, vertical foregrip and Eotech to it and go deer huntin'. I heard spec ops guys do that all the time.

Don't worry about the surefire, just get yourself one them AAA maglites, it's just as bright. And Wally world sells a red dot sight that they say is only for airguns, but it's even better than the EOTech and only costs about $20. I combat tested one by shooting it with a 12 gauge slug. It didn't survive but then I don't think a EOTech would survive that either so it must be just as good.

But... but them Israeli LAPD Seal Team 6 operator fellers don't use Maglites. :(

This one will probably die overnight. Oh well. We'll see if I remember to bump it tomorrow.

I got a model D a few years ago and cant tell you how many rounds has been through it since. When I haul it out at the range and everybody there wants to try it.My cousin is always after me to give it to him cuz like so many of ushe likes to go armed but with him there is no telling where the bullets hit when he lets them fly,but give him a rifle and a tennis ball dies at 250 yards,so he likes the fact that with a 410 he can hitat short range.

one shot one kill

Junk, had 2 in our shop to see what they were like total crap, sold them for cost after telling the customer they were junk.

Thanks for the input, both of you. :)

I'm certainly not paying $200 new for one, but if I ever find a cheap used one I may. Worst-case scenario, I lose $20 selling the thing. Okay, and maybe a hand, but... :p

gezzer, can you elaborate a bit? What made them junk?

No extractors, hope you have very stong fingernails, fit, operation, the 22/410 O/U had about 3 inch of rifling in the 22 with a 25 cal sized smooth tube welded to it . Crap is being nice. I would place value at about 50 bucks any more and you have been raped, in fact any 22 used old gun that shoots will be better.

The ones I bought came from KY imports no offence to them.
