I have a stainless 5-1/2" Ruger Old Army. I also have more than a couple of non-OEM stainless cylinders. For reasons of just "because" I'm thinking about having a cylinder treated with a "Black Nitride" finish. Not the whole gun, it's far too valuable for that, just a non-OEM cylinder. I'm really curious to see how Black Nitride handles black powder.
But how goofy or cool would a black cylinder look in a polished stainless frame? I know some folks have put together parts guns and come up with a black.blue cylinder in a stainless frame....have a picture?
