I have been reloading my .380, 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 using Unique powder. I'm about out of Unique and just bought a 4# jug of TiteGroup. I also just bought a Taurus Model 65 and hate the high price of commercial ammo. The books I have show TiteGroup with lead wadcutters, but not with FMJ. I emailed Hodgen, but haven't heard back from them. I appreciate any info. Thanks.

I load 158gr. hardcast with 3.5 grains of titegroup. They show a load for Hornady XTPs on their Website. That might be a good starting point. I've found titegroup to work well in 9mm and 45acp also.

I just checkd all my manuals and the load data I downloaded and came up with zip for 158g FMJ. Hollow points, lead, etc. No FMJ.

Sorry!

I'm almost sure you can use the same data for JHP and FMJ bullets of the same weight. If that's true the Hodgdon site lists 3.5gr Min @ 704 fps and 3.9gr Max @ 798 fps for Titegroup.

It depends on if you are asking about FMJ cup & core bullets like Hornady & Sierra Silhouette bullets.

Or FMJ bullets like Berry, Ranier & MagTech plated jacket bullets.

If the former, you can use JHP data for the same weight & shape bullets.

If the latter, see this thread:

In my experiance, there just aren't very many FMJ 158 grain .38 Spl. bullets being made, so there is very little load data available for them.
